Greetings from the Phi Iota Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®. Since our chartering in 1999, our more than 150 members have proudly served the Birmingham Metropolitan area with zeal, innovation, and passion.

​

Under our Sorority's International Program theme, Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood, PIO remains steadfast in elevating our community and building meaningful relationships with our local partners. Our programs and initiatives range from health and nutrition, advocacy and social action, financial empowerment, voter registration, environmental stewardship, and student leadership development. We also pride ourselves on awarding annual scholarships to area high school students.
